Tying the Glo-Bug

If I use an egg pattern, I typically use the Simple Egg. Sometimes the Simple Egg is too heavy and snags on the bottom. I find that on bigger rivers with long runs and some rivers with low flows in fall, a lighter egg is often good to have in your box. This is where the standard old Glo-Bug works well. This is a pretty simple tie and will keep you from tearing your hair out if your snagging rocks too much.
