Minam Raft Rentals

My wife Lottie and I purchased the Minam Store, Minam Raft Rental, and Minam Shuttle Service business in February of 2011.  The primary shuttle business is for boaters floating the Wallowa and Grande Ronde River from the store at Minam down to the different takeouts at Powwatka Bridge (also called Wildcat Bridge), Mud Creek, Troy, Boggan’s Oasis, and Heller Bar.  We have the best rafts money can buy, Maravia, made in Boise, Idaho.  Besides full size whitewater rafts we have Aire inflatable kayaks that are a lot of fun for multi-day trips on the Grande Ronde, day trips on the Wallowa and other destinations.  We have 2 eight foot pontoon boats for day floats on the Wallowa along with 2 Scadden made specialty kayaks.  The Scadden Escalade and Scadden World Navigator have oars on the kayak tubes so you can row them just like a big raft.  When a good spot to fish comes along on the Wallowa, you simply stand up in the middle of your kayak and fish while the oars fold neatly out of the way against the tubes.  For the more adventurous we have NRS packrafts and we are now a dealer for Feathercraft’s Baylee River Runner Packrafts.  These new packrafts are awesome.  I don’t use the word awesome often, but they are great.  We also have three different models of Baylee River Runner packrafts to rent at the Minam Store.  If you are thinking about buying a packraft, come down to the store and try out a Baylee River Runner and NRS packraft to compare the quality before you make your purchase.

For 2012 we are beginning to do guided fly fishing steelhead trips on the Grande Ronde.  Please visit our guided trips page for details.  If you are interested in my guide service somewhere else please send me an email stating what you are interested in, grant@minamraftrentals.com
